Each RV site at Kamp Modoc Family Campground comes equipped with water & electric hookup, with the majority of sites having sewer. Tent and primitive sites may or may not have utility hookups. Your site will also have a picnic table and a fire ring.
No. All of our additional amenities (lake inflatables, jumping pad, Aqua Cycle Water Trikes, FUN cycles & pedal cart and our paddle boats & row boats) require the purchase of a FUN wristband. FUN Wristbands can be purchased for the entire weekend, by the day or for an hour. We are certain you will want to take advantage of all the FUN we offer so we suggest you get your wristbands upon check in.
Our sites range in size but can accommodate camping units from a tent up to a 45′ RV. The electricity amperage varies as well, depending on the type of site. Our water and electric sites have 30amp and our full hookup sites come standard with 30amp. 50amp full hookup sites are available for an extra charge.
We welcome your pets with open arms! We are pet lovers ourselves! There is, however, a two pet limit per site. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while outside of your camper and may not be walked by a child without an adult present. We do require that our campers clean up after their pets anywhere within the campground. Pets are not permitted in our rental units.
Due to the number of children in our park, we ask that you leave aggressive breed dogs at home.
Absolutely! We do allow visitors (what would camping be without friends and family?) but we ask that you please inform any visitors of our visitor policies and visitor fees.
A visitor registration is valid from the time of check-in until 10pm (unless otherwise arranged.) Please note that due to the high number of registered camping families with pets, visitors may not bring their pets with them while visiting.
While we cannot completely guarantee specific sites, we gladly accept site requests and will do our best to accommodate them.
Kamp Modoc Family Campground is a family owned, family friendly campground, therefore, we have a reduced ‘double-up’ fee that allows friends or family members to camp on your campsite with you. Just remember to keep only eight-person maximum per site. Please keep in mind that the ‘double-up’ guests will need to register before setting up their tent.
Of course! What would camping be without one? Each campsite comes equipped with a fire ring. To prevent the spread of insects we ask you to please not bring firewood with you when you come. More information on the “Don’t Move The Firewood” program can be found at dontmovefirewood.org. We do sell reasonably priced bags/crates of firewood as well as bags of kindling at the main office for a very reasonable fee. For your convenience, we’ll even deliver it to you right to your campsite.
Call us anytime! We are able to take the next seasons’ reservations by phone or make your reservation before you check-out.
Yes, we encourage you to bring your own life vests as our supply is very limited.
All swimming activities are not without risk therefore, anyone under the age of 16 must have a responsible adult (21+ years) to accompany them when at the beach area.
Bike riding is allowed anywhere in the park with the exception around the office, the main building, on the playgrounds, on the dam or any other place that our campers tend to gather. All bikes must be returned to your site by dusk. No bike riding after dusk. Mopeds are not permitted to be ridding by those younger than 18.
Yes you may. We ask that you ride them directly to your site and not be ridding through the park. We take great pride in operating a quiet, family friendly park and ask that you keep motorcycle riding to a minimum.
Yes, responsible consumption of alcohol is restricted to your own campsite. Please do not put cans, bottles or other trash in fire rings. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by anyone under the age of 21, with or without parental permission is prohibited.

Yes we do. We allow electric only golf carts with operable headlights. All operators must be 18 years old and a licensed driver. You will need to follow all the rules that we have for our rental golf carts. You also have to stop at the registration office upon arrival and provide proof of liability insurance, purchase a $25.00 annual golf cart permit and register the cart to your site.
We have 24/7 onsite management and controlled access gates. We do have security to ensure you and your family safety while you are staying with us. We are a family friendly campground and expect all our guests to act as such. We want everyone’s stay to be an enjoyable and memorable family experience.
Yes. There is limited bandwidth throughout the park and it is at no cost. That being said, remember we are out in the country with very limited bandwidth so there are times when the signal will be approaching non-existent, so the most reliable is at the main access points.
We do not pickup trash at your site. There are dumpsters across from our office where you can bring your trash to be disposed of. We can only accept common household garbage in our bins.
Sorry, you must be 21 years or older to register for a site or sign the visitor registration form at Kamp Modoc Family Campground. We reserve the right to deny campsites to persons under the age of 21 in order to maintain the peace, quiet, and tranquility of the campground to our campers.
